Brunch has become a highly publicized weekend activity thanks to people constantly posting pictures of their delicious meals all over social media. As college students, it can be difficult to find trendy brunch spots with affordable menu prices. These Miami hot spots will have your brunch cravings satisfied without breaking the bank.

1. SpecialTea Lounge & Café

Located right across the street from FIU’s main campus a local café can be found tucked away in the Columbia Shopping Plaza. Special Tea Café offers a wide array of delicious pastries, sandwiches, salads, and drinks. Unfortunately, the café is closed on Sundays but swing by on a Saturday for a scrumptious Nutella stuffed croissant paired with an Arnold palmer. Pro tip the café offers a student discount to all FIU students with a student ID.


2. Earls Kitchen + Bar

Earls has undoubtedly become one of the trendiest brunch spots in the Kendall area. Offering a DJ and a beautiful view of downtown Dadeland you definitely want to stop by Earl’s for the good vibes. On Saturday’s the restaurant serves up complimentary glasses of champagne till 3:00 pm with brunch. Good vibes and an amazing brunch menu make Earl’s the place to be on Saturday mornings.



3. GreenStreet Cafe

GreenStreet Café has become an iconic brunch spot for Miami locals and newbies. Located right in the heart of Coconut Grove, the café provides ample outdoor and indoor seating for the large brunch crowds that hit up the café on the weekends. The café menu has some amazing brunch options such as red velvet pancakes and goat cheese omelets. With brunch items ranging from $8-$13, you can enjoy your food without freaking out over the bill.



4. Roots Juice Bar

Whether you follow a plant-based diet or not, Roots is a fantastic vegan juice bar that has gained a strong following in the Kendall area. Roots juice bar has brought trendy pressed juices smoothie bowls to Kendall. With the Yelp app, you can receive 20% off your order every time you check into the juice bar on the app. The acai bowls and avocado toasts are some of the most highly rated menu items according to yelp.

5. Outrageous Bagel Company

Feel like going somewhere more relaxed for brunch after a night out in Miami? Outrageous Bagel Company on 107th Ave is just the place! This family based bagel shop makes you feel like you just stepped inside a traditional New York deli. The bagel shop has a wide menu filled with a variety of bagel sandwiches and drinks. It’s the perfect spot to devour fresh bagels while catching up with some friends.


6. El Atlakat

If you’re looking for something a bit more exotic for brunch, El Atlakat on Bird Road is a great brunch option. El Atlakat is a Salvadorean restaurant that serves up traditional dishes at amazing prices. From traditional Salvadorean breakfast dishes to chicken tacos, this restaurant has something for everyone.
