A Letter From The Editor

Dear readers and staff,

I am beyond ecstatic to be continuing my experience at Odyssey as your new Editor-in-Chief. Writing is my number one passion and I am so thankful that I have been given the opportunity to express it in this way. It is the goal of our team to continue writing relatable and up-to-date content that both informs and inspires. Thank you to the UNCW community for continuing to be so supportive of our endeavors here at Odyssey.

I want to take the time to thank our contributing editor, Catalina Orrego, for helping me transition into the Editor-in-Chief position. I also want to welcome Alena Hall, our managing editor, to Odyssey at UNCW. We truly could not do it without her, and her passion for Odyssey is admirable. Finally, thank you to all of the writers for producing such amazing weekly content. You are the heart of it all.

We currently have 15 writers on staff and are hoping to recruit more this semester. We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
