Meredith And Derek Are Not Couple Goals

Their relationship does not portray love.

Meredith And Derek Are Not Couple Goals

Ever since Netflix became mainstream, Grey's Anatomy has been a favorite to binge watch. I myself jumped on the bandwagon a little late for the show. However, since then I have been constantly watching and falling in love with the show.

All of the characters are constantly falling in and out of relationships, bringing the show new and old characters each season. The one constant of the show is Meredith and Derek. There is a constant dance of will they or won't they until they finally do.

Fans of the show can't get enough of the pair. They love the chemistry between the two and the cat and mouse games. True fans genuinely enjoy this, for someone who loves the show as a whole it gets a little tiresome.

Meredith and Derek as two separate characters are very complex and amazing. Put together they are just destructive for one another. They are constantly doing things to hurt one another and it's not what a relationship should be portrayed as.

Many times you see Derek try to be controlling over Meredith such as when he tried to get her roommates to move out once he moved in, and he never even consulted her on it. It seems that just because he's her boss he can use this power over her to get what he wants. He even keeps her out of certain surgeries because he is mad at her.

Meredith, on the other hand, becomes petty at certain points. She holds grudges about her past and you can often see her taking it out on Derek. She refuses to talk to him and sometimes acts like a child throughout the relationship.

Put together the two make a train wreck of a relationship. They constantly hurt each other and fight about menial things that turn into bigger things. After a few episodes of fighting they somehow makeup and everything is fine for a little while until another fight comes along.

While this is all fine for a fictional world, there are now impressionable children watching this show who think it's ok for a relationship to be based on hurt and sometimes malice. While couples d fight with one another it is never with the intent it hurt the other person. It becomes very tiresome after awhile.

True fans of the show believe Meredith and Derek belong together. As an outsider who is currently making their way through the show, I couldn't disagree more. I think Derek and Addison might be a better pair than him and Meredith.

This should not be a relationship that people idolize. Yes, there are moments where they show they care about each other, but this is not love. Meredith and Derek may be the worst couple that has graced TV.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
