Meeting your best friend is a memory people tend to cherish and never forget. Your memory about meeting your best friend can be funny, serious, or just faith. When I met one of my best friends, it was an odd way to meet, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. If I didn't meet my best friend that day, and that way, I don't think we would've ever found each other.
When I met my best friend, I was a new student in my new school starting my seventh grade year. We were about a week into school and my locker was a disaster. I was attempting to clean out my locker and organize it during lunch, while other kids walked by and didn't even blink an eye at me. That suddenly changed when my now best friend walked up to me and noticed the mess that I called my locker. She offered to help me, and from there we hit it off. The next thing I knew, we were sitting next to each other in class and having our parents bring us to each others houses.
We look back at that memory constantly and laugh. If I wasn't the slob I was in middle school, I wouldn't have made a life long friend. I wouldn't of met someone that was as kind as her, as willing to help as her, and someone with such a big heart as well as her family. Our friendship story is a funny one, but a successful one. It's a short, but meaningful story that both of us cherish.
That day, I got a clean locker, and a new friend. From that day on my locker stayed mostly clean throughout the year, but my friendship with my new pal grew, grew, and grew. We are both now in college still as close as the day she helped me with my locker. Friendships can come out of anywhere, anytime. Now, I'm asking you, what's your best friendship memory? Is it when you met your now best friend? Is it how you met them? What is it? Talk to them about it, because I'm willing to bet that it's their favorite memory too.
