My philosophy professor asked my class to answer this question on the last day before finals. I began writing, and couldn't stop.

I wrote, "I'm capable of doing more if I put my mind to it. If I push myself, I'm able to do unreliable, positive, helpful things. This semester, in general, helped me to open up, be even more outgoing, and free myself from any restrictions I may think I have. I'm doing amazing things with The Princess Project by helping people and changing children's lives. I'm beginning to love myself more than I ever have and I absolutely love the feeling.

I have my friends, family, and boyfriend to thank for helping me grow so much over the course of a couple months. I'm more confident, happy and feeling more successful and rich in what I already have. I've been doing amazing things with my writing and I'm getting nothing but 110% support from everyone.

I have an amazing new family and friends in The Princess Project. I've learned so much from these ladies and gentlemen this semester. I've always wanted to be apart of something that helps and inspires people. It's the most amazing feeling in the entire world. I can't wait to change more lives when I visit dressed up as Alice in Wonderland. I can't wait to see the same look that kids give Elsa, Ana, Tinkerbell, Aurora, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Pocahontas, when they have their jaw to the floor and hands on their cheeks, when they finally get to see Alice.

To my amazing friends outside of The Princess Project, thank you for being my rock, my armor, and my strength every single day. I don't know who I would be without you. Amanda, Liseth, Kait, Sam, and Jenny, thank you for being my number ones at college. You are the most amazing friends anyone could ever ask for. No words can explain how much I love and appreciate you.

Connor, my handsome, thank you for being so supportive of my writing, my personal issues, my school work, and anything else that I may be forgetting. You are my world. I'm so happy to be by your side and for you to be by mine. I'm so proud of you and every single thing that you do. You are my number one, my world, and I love you more than you could ever imagine.

Mom, George & Michael, you are all amazing. You are my anchor and my soul. Thank you for loving me, caring for me, and be there for me no matter what. I don't know what I would do without you.

Thank you every single one of you for helping me grow, change for the better, and accomplish so much. I love you all so much."

"I've only slept nine hours over the past four days, so I'm right on the verge of a nervous breakdown." - Leslie Knope

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
