Everyone can agree that it's important to keep up with daily news and events going on around the world. Especially with the recent events occurring in Paris, Syria, and the Middle East. One blog that circulates social thought and ideas straight to the reader is a popular blog called Mashable. This blog is very appealing right off the bat because of the content and categories of interest that the main page offers. I had never heard of this blog until I had to look up a few credible blogs that were worth reviewing and checking out. Mashable quickly stood out as the blog to review because of the initial appeal of the overall content that that main page contains.

The blog’s main cover stories are captivating because of the photography used and the content embedded in them. Most of the blog posts are relevant to events occurring locally and internationally, so the general population will always be intrigued since it directly relates to them. One of my favorite features of the blog is the category bar that's located at the top of the page. It offers many different interests to cater to the wide variety of audience that may view a blog. This category tool makes the blog so versatile and interesting because users can search for specific content on the site.

Another feature unique to this blog is the variety of video content blogs are capable of displaying. Mashable does a great job of incorporating different video content into blogs, that helps writers present their ideas in a different way to their audience. Most of the images within the blog posts are good quality and relate to the post, so it provides a quality example for the reader to relate the post to. Mashable is definitely one of the coolest blogs I've recently discovered, and I am glad I have done so. It's truly helped me when I am stuck aimlessly scrolling through the internet and have nothing else to do. I highly recommend to follow Mashable and start keeping up with their blogs, especially if you enjoy following world wide news as it's occuring.
