Mark Fischbach is a famous YouTube gamer who was born on an island in the Pacific Ocean called O'ahu. He was born in a military base there, but eventually he and his family moved to Ohio after his dad retired. The forest was a big part of Fischbach's backyard where he would play with his brother in the creeks. He has been said to undeniably miss his bonding with his brother during this part of his life and his old house in the woods.
Fischbach's father introduced him to an old computer and he adored it with all of his heart. Although he had the computer, he still preferred to play video games on a Super Nintendo with his brothers. Unfortunately, not everything was fine in his early childhood. He recollects the countless fighting between his parents and how he would distract himself by playing video games. It was a really hard time for him. The divorce between his parents was inevitable and things weren't looking so bright. Money stopped being available and eventually they lost the house in the woods. The only thing that Fischbach was able to save was his computer.
Fortunately, on one occasion Fischbach broke his arm while playing in the monkey bars and his cast led to meeting new friends at school. One friend that he reminisces about is a kid named Drew who persuaded him to join a band. Those turn of events allowed him to make new friends and be happier in his life. On top of that, his father met a woman named Dee and Fischbach describes her as a kind lady. His brother and him ultimately agreed with their father's decision of being with Dee because of how nice she was (plus, she bought them a PS2). The most important thing about Dee was that she stirred a sense of happiness once again with his father. High school and life for Fischbach was turning positive once again. He was also introduced to a vast collection of video games such as Half-Life during this time.
Things seemed to be going great in Fischbach's life and he was planning to attend college. Sadly, his father then brought terrible news to the family. His dad was diagnosed with cancer and again Fischbach started to lose sight of his life. Also, he couldn't decide what to major in because he doubted his ability to produce video games as a career. One year went by and things continued to go downhill for the gamer.
His father was sadly losing the battle with cancer and the unfortunate day arrived in which he passed away. He remembers Dee screaming that day of sadness, and watching his dad pass away peacefully in bed. His last words to his son were "I love you". It was heartbreaking and a huge blow for Fischbach. After his dad died, he was confused with his life and career. He drifted for a few years. He hated his job working ungodly hours in front of a computer, his relationships with loved ones dwindled and he went to the hospital for his appendix. Everything went down the drain. He realized the only way out of this dark patch was to change his outlook in life.
He started a channel on YouTube as an escape route and to change his lifestyle. Suddenly, a rise in subscribers and views began. In this point in time, Fischbach's life changed for the better. He was able to do what he loved and entertain millions of people worldwide. He became a better person through YouTube and till this day he raises awareness for important causes in his channel and tries to give back to people in need. Overall, he became a YouTube sensation and an inspiration.
This is where live streaming for charity was introduced to me. I've followed Markiplier since his early beginnings and I am truly amazed by the support of his countless fans and how he creates a campaign for things such as depression and bipolar disorder. He sets up a funding event on a website and just plays video games for the entirety of the day on Youtube. As well as addressing why it's important to help other people in need. All the proceeds go directly to these charities too. It's an amazing way to change our world. I truly encourage anyone new to charity streams to watch his streams and help make a difference.
