The wait has been long and tiring, but you prevailed. The term is up, you are free and your bed (bigger than a twin) is calling your name. Home is where the heart is, or in this case, where you can get more than five hours of sleep a night and where you can shower sans flip flops. Welcome back.
You're thrilled to finally be heading home for break.
You take time to do all the childish things you couldn't do while you were away at college.
You happily visit with the people you missed from high school. It's great to see your squad.
You re-discover the wonder that is driving a vehicle.
You re-discover the forgotten blessing of lonesomeness and privacy.
You spend absurd amounts of time with your dog because you missed her.
Upon entering the house you and your siblings immediately start reeking havoc.
You're getting hyped to go out with the ladies from high school.
But you forgot that at home, your parents need to know times, locations and your friends moms' maiden names before you're allowed out of the house.
You return to visit your old stomping grounds feeling full of wisdom and sage advice.
Because thus far, college has been good for your confidence.
It's great to be back, but being home also made you realize what you loved about school. You are reminded of all the people in town you didn't mind leaving behind.
You recognize that the freedom to eat what you want when you want is a college luxury because your diet might have changed but mom's certainly didn't.
You miss the omnipresent social opportunities.
You miss getting weird in the dorm with your friends.
You love being home but by the end of break...you say peace out to the suburbs.
You run back to school, full steam ahead.
