As a young girl, the movie 'She's The Man' not only was a movie that proved to me that girls are equally, if not more, capable of keeping up with boys in every aspect, but taught me a little bit about men. It seems we try to figure out what is going on in the male mind most of the time. Here are 10 things 'She's The Man' taught me about male personality qualities.

1. Guys pretend to be super tough and not have feelings, but they are actually softies.

We all have that one guy that has thick skin and doesn't want anyone to know that other people have an effect on him, but in reality he cares just as much as you do.

2. Men have great self-confidence

Guy just know how to make themselves feel better and, sometimes, they do that through boosting their ego and making them feel like they are better than their competitors.

3. They know how to start a deep, thought-provoking conversation

Nowadays, it can be hard to find the right guy that knows how to really cut to the core of you because you don't want to open up to random people. But he if really wants to get to know you, he'll put in the effort and ask to know everything about you.

4. If they have such a beautiful bond with their friends

We always want to know if they man you like has depth and/or close friends you all could bond with. Teammates, classmates, roommates, etc. are all going to be signs if he surrounds himself with genuine people

5. Find out if he has any hidden talents

Like most people, some men don't like to show off their talents because they are either embarrassed or afraid of rejection. But you've got this! Peel back that onion that is your man!

6. As much as we don't want to hear it, guys can be very blunt

You will come across many people in this world and, in this case men, that have no filter to the point where it almost comes off as rude and inconsiderate.

7. They are afraid of feminine products and have misconceptions of them

Women sometimes have to hide the fact that they are currently going through their menstrual cycle and the products we use because it makes certain men "uncomfortable." Get over it, Dave!

8. Men can be over protective at times

After everything is said and done, your man loves and cares for you and will always put your happiness first and wouldn't intentionally hurt you (unless you dates one of my exes).

9. The ones that play on sports teams, love to show off their connection with their teammates and coaches

Like a family, sports teams are tied together through bonds of love, understanding, and teamwork. And it is so cute to see the love your man shares with those on his team.

10. No matter how much you have faith in them, they never fail to come up with a bad excuse to get out of something

Whether it be dinner with the parents, holding your shopping bags at the mall, or actually taking you out on a date, some men just refuse to be kind. But, Sally, sweetie, force that boyfriend of yours to take you out!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
