Always beautiful.
Nathan and Lucas Scott, McDreamy, Stiles, Noah Calhoun, Augustus Waters, Will Herondale, Mr. Darcy, Damon and Stefan Salvatore, Zack Morris and A.C. Slater, Jack and Sean Hunter, Dan Humphrey, Chuck Bass, and Troy Bolton. Honestly the list of beautiful fictional characters could go on forever. They always seem to look amazing even though you hardly ever see them sleep. They also give you ridiculously high expectations for the physical shape of the rest of the male population. They can make your heart skip a beat and shatter with just one glance at the camera, and it seems like they are looking directly into your soul.
Easier to love.
The author shows you what you want to see. To go so far as to say that these characters do not have faults is just not true; they do have faults, but they are shown in a different manner. Their faults always seem easier to accept and love, though they could occur in real life, they just do not seem real. The problems and issues that these characters come with do not actually affect our daily lives; therefore, they are easier to love than a living breathing person who could possibly cause us trouble.
No commitment.
Arguing over who is right/wrong, or why they do not want to ask for directions, or why they do not like the shirt you bought them, or who's turn it was to feed the dog, or who has to do dishes does not exist. They only exist from the minute you turn the television on until the minute you turn it off, so they never have to tell you that you need to get off of the couch and get dressed. You will always get your way, but you may still have to pay for your own food.
Reality does not exist.
Living in a three story house with a bank account that you never have to pay attention to and a boyfriend/husband that seems like he never ages is suddenly very possible. There are endless possibilities to the life that the two of you could have together. If you're dating Damon Salvatore think of all of the daring adventures or Troy Bolton think of all of the catchy duets, pick your poison and by poison I mean man. Honestly, with no commitment and no reality you could date all of them.
There is always more to come.

Fictional characters are never ending. There will always be another one to catch your eye and give you "the feels." There are thousands of books and hundreds of TV shows/movies that come out every year. Think of how many more beautiful characters they contain. You are bound to fall in love with a hundred more this year, may your heart be open to all of the great fictional loves to come.
