After winter break, it is normal to feel extra homesick. In order to make your dorm a "home a way from home," here are a few ideas to make your space feel homey...

1. Hang Photos of Family and Friends

Having photos of your loved ones will make your space extra comfy if you are surrounded by your favorite memories.

2. Have a Comfy Comforter

Don't dread sleeping in your dorm bed, so get a comfy comforter and blankets to have a good nights sleep!

3. Make or Buy Wall Decorations

I highly suggest making your crafts (if you're crafty like that) or buying pretty wall decorations to make it feel more like your own space.

4. Have Your Favorite Snacks Available

If you need a break form your dining hall food, having your favorite snacks will feel just like you're at home.

5. Have Your Favorite Scent

Candles or wall flowers are a perfect way to make your room smell like it would at home.

I love the entire year. Well, for the most part. I'm not a big fan of Winter, but even then, every month has something that's pretty great. November? Thanksgiving. December? Winter Holidays. January? New Year's. February? Valentine's and Single Awareness Day. May? Existential dread during finals. But for me, March has always been my favorite month of the year, and for good reason.
