The dating life isn’t easy, especially as an adult. You have to work around both of your schedules to make time for each other, while also making sure you’re spending time with your family and friends, going to classes if in college, going to work, etc. Oftentimes you’ll feel defeated. All you want to do is be able to see the person you love. While there are days of frustration, with tears slowly falling from your eyes, there’s one thing you must always remember.

If you love each other, you will find the time, and you will make it work.

This is something I have always found to be true. It doesn’t even just apply to relationships but life as a whole. If a person wants you around, they will make the effort and make time to see you. As far as relationships, it’s your job as a team, to make time to see each other.

Until the day comes where you live together and/or get married (whichever may come first), you guys have to work together to have time to see one another. It can be difficult, especially when both of you work 30-40 hours, maybe one of you has 2 jobs, the other has a job and school. It’s not going to be easy. Dating isn’t easy.

Life isn’t easy.

You have to work hard to get to where you want to be. As a young adult couple, facing difficulty with this, the main thing you have to remember is that the both of you are working your asses off now, so that you can have the future you want, together.

My boyfriend and I both work full time jobs, he also works a second night time job, I go to school and write for 2 different platforms. There are days where I find myself tearing up because I miss him and crave his hugs more than anything.

While the tears may fall, I always remember that we’re doing this for our future together. That makes it all worth it. Not only am I working for the life I want to have, but he is working with me to make our future the way we want it.

Using that as motivation helps. Besides , when we do finally get to see each other, the chemistry is electric. You hug your partner a little longer, hold on just a little bit tighter. I think us being so busy, has us appreciate the other just that little bit more.

While some days it feels like your back is pushed against the wall, just remember, you love them. They love you. It will all be worth it. At the end of the day, you’re doing it together.

Nothing is impossible if you work hard enough for it. If you want to be together, you will find happiness in the little moments. When you meet up during your lunch breaks to grab coffee, or when you visit them at work just to give them a quick kiss. It is possible.
