Get out of your comfort zone! Whether you're in middle school, high school, or college make the most of the time you have right now because it does not last forever.
1. Do Something New
What usually happens is we make a group of friends and stay where we are comfortable; then we do not do anything outside of that. Sometimes we even conform to other people's ideas and how they feel. For example you may want to try something new, but your friends do not really want to do it, and then you end up not doing it. Or you may want to try something but make up excuses to not do anything in the first place. This is NOT okay , because you will look back and regret it! Live your life according to what you want to do and make it worth your time. Try to do anything that interests you and see if you will like it, if not at least you can say you tried
2. Meet New People
We all are aware that not everyone can just make friends on a whim, but it is all about going out there. There are times where you may not want to get into an awkward situation or come across as weird, but do it anyways! People who are truly genuine will look past that and try to get to know you. Most people think they are awkward to some extent, therefore feel free to try to talk to someone you believe you will connect with.
3. Take a risk
This may be difficult but take a risk and do something you do not usually do. I'm not saying do something you know you hate, but do something out of the ordinary here and there. When opportunities arise and you may not know how it will end, but try it. As long as it is not harmful to you or anyone around you , definitely try to do it. Make the most out of the current situation.
4. Trial and Error
When trying something new, do not set your expectations too high. It is all about experiencing something exciting. Try not to focus on winning or losing, but focus on enjoying the moment you are in. Even though you may not be the best at what you are doing, you can become the best. Do not quit once you see someone who looks better, because they may be further in their journey than you are.
Join that new club and do whatever you can now because these times are temporary. High school and College are four years, and you do not want to be that person who constantly reminisces on the opportunities you could have taken, but didn't. No matter what age you are, or what grade you are in take advantage of every opportunity that you can handle. It is great to try new things, but everything is good in moderation. Make a list of what you want to do, and take steps to accomplish them one at a time.
