If you relate to this—
"What is your major?"
And this—
"What do you want to do with the rest of your life?"
Then this article is for you.
These are two questions I get asked all the time. Not sure why everyone automatically assumes I have my entire life figured out, but little do they know. I don't even know what I want for dinner tonight. Let alone what I want to do for the rest of my life. To the people who think they do have their lives figured out, I am completely jealous. And you can stop reading here. Because apparently you guys hold the key to life.
For the rest of us, being a college student is stressful enough. Trying to decide on a major just makes it 10 times worse. Everyone reading this who is going through the same thing I am, we're gonna try to get through it together. So I came up with five steps to help us decide on what we wanna do. And hopefully it'll give us a little insight.
1. What do you love to do?
Really think about your hobbies. Whether it be writing, taking pictures, drawing, sports, music, math or whatever else you love. Find something that you can get immersed in completely. What do you love to do that doesn't feel like work? We've all heard the old saying, "Do what you love and love what you do." If we're doing something we really love, then we won't work a day in our lives.
2. What is most important to you?
Hard question, I know. Is it being able to travel? Having a good family life and being able to see them often? Changing the world? Making a ton of money?
3. Forget what everyone else is telling you to do.
4. Forget the money.
OK guys, I know most of you are like...
