I haven't listened to all of his songs but I definitely enjoy the message of the one's that I have.

1. Same Love (ft. Mary Lambert)

A 2012 song that spoke about LGBT people in a positive light. Stressing how LGBT individuals were being treated unfairly within society, this song thrived as a gay anthem. The music video also sheds a positive light on same-sex marriage.

2. Drug Dealer (ft. Ariana Deboo)

Handling the topic of drug addiction, Macklemore once again brought light to a relevant topic in 2016. Taking the listener into an addicts mind in a shockingly real way. Macklemore unapologetically calls out the government and pharmaceutical companies for there contribution to the drug addiction crisis.

3. Wing$

This song indirectly calls out those who have sacrificed their integrity for fame and money. It sheds light on the violence and murder that can accompany consumerism, specifically citing the surge inexpensive sport's shoes.

4. Growing Up (ft. Ed Sheeran)

Talking about his uncertainty in being a father, Macklemore teams up with Ed Sheeran to create this beautiful song for his newborn daughter. Adding in advice for his daughter, this song is the perfect mixture of comedy and emotions that truly capture what its like to be a new parent.

5. Wednesday Morning

In this ballad, Macklemore sings about post-presidential election America. He talks about social justice and remaining an activist no matter who the president is.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
