12 Lyrics From Melanie Martinez's New Album That Are Perfect IG Captions

The last time we had a great handful of lyrics to use from Melanie Martinez was back in, like, 2014 when she released everyone's favorite yet controversial album: "Crybaby." It wasn't until this year that she finally decided to release her second studio album, "K-12."

If just the music wasn't good enough for us, she even released her own film to go along with her songs. We knew she was a creative artist, but this definitely blew everyone away. After re-watching the film a few times, I know all the words to the songs. Although some of her songs are really deep, the lyrics are still sassy and fun. Instagram captions, anyone?

1. "I've tried to make you listen, but you won't. It's your way, right?"

A sassy little snippet from "The Principal." Which, if you didn't know... this song is about Donald Trump and that just makes it way better.

2. "I'm on display for all you f***ers to see."

"Show and Tell" had a really great selection to choose from. I think this one suits a selfie really well, though.

3. "Do I offend you? You're hanging on my sentences."

If you watched the actual movie, you'll know this particular scene in "Drama Club" was truly iconic.

4. "It's my fault, it's my fault. Cause I put icing on top."

By far my favorite song on the album, "Strawberry Shortcake" is all about teaching men to keep it in their pants. Which could be really important for your feed, I guess...

5. "Come to my house, let's die together. Friendship that will last forever."

"Lunchbox Friends" has a creepy undertone, but I think this caption could be really cute for a BFF pic at the beach or something.

6. "Your body is imperfectly perfect, everyone wants what the other one's working."

Just a simple ego-boosting caption from one of the more meaningful songs, "Orange Juice."

7. "Please don't be mad if I don't smile back, alright?"

This one from "Detention" could be cute with the right pic!

8. "If I'm so special, why am I a secret?"

I'm imagining this pic as something scandalous, considering the song is called "Teacher's Pet" and the meaning is quite unique.

9. "If you can't handle a heart like mine, don't waste your time with me."

"High School Sweethearts" is an emotional rollercoaster I don't want to get off of.

10. "Don't let them hurt you, baby"

Another satisfying lyric from the song, "Recess." It's straightforward, yet impactful.

11. "Imma take a bow so you can kiss my a**."

It's vulgar, but also so cute at the same time.

12. "Harsh words if you don't get a pic with me."

I told you "Show and Tell" had some great Insta captions.

Of course, there are hundreds of other lyrics in these songs to choose from, these are just my personal favorites. Melanie Martinez hopefully will continue to spoil us with new songs, so that we don't have to wait four years this time!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
