I may be only 20 at the time, but I have thoughts about you. The thing is I am not ready for you, but I still have these thoughts of you. My first few years of adulthood have been real. We’re talking real talk and real shit that is all real good. Let's just say, the show has officially begun. I have worked two jobs, gone to school full time, had college roommates, left my home. I have supported myself financially, emotionally and independently. I have done things just like I am sure you have, that I am proud of and am not. From this things, I have had the opportunity for growth.
I am sure that by the time we fall deeply, madly in love, I will have learned even more about this lovely life that tends to teach me lessons on the daily. I do not know who you are yet, where you may be at this moment in time, but let me share with you, my love, where I am and who I am becoming.

Sorry, not sorry. From my morning cup to my mid day pick me up to the evening cup of joe… it’s there. The smell of coffee beans is deep within my hair to breath that I breathe. My kisses will be your daily dose of caffeine. Hey, look at it this way: when we wake I will french press the beans just the way you like it.

I was raised by a single woman that always ran the show. Always. If I pop a tire, don’t feel bad that I didn’t call you for help. I can handle this, but if you unexpectedly showed up to put on my spare, I wouldn’t be mad.
My Hangry is a Real Thing
Every two hours baby, this amount of time is crucial. This amount of time could make or break us. Gluten with a side of coffee is always a good idea in my mind, however I could live off of fresh fruit, toast, fish and protein shakes. I have a relationship with my food. I experience foodgasms on the regular and maybe someday we will experience conceiving a food baby together.

I am smart. I will not pretend to know something, but instead search for the answer. A higher education and furthering my education by implementing it into my every day life is important to me. I know that I will learn lessons from you that I will forever treasure. Maybe I'll be able to teach you a thing or two as well.

There is a time and place for everything, including the tunes we live our life to. I make breakfast to Indie Singer Songwriter, Reggae with a few of John Legends hits thrown into the mix. Dinner will be served alongside Frank Ocean, Ginuwine and Robin Thicke. I will dance for you to Beyonce and make sure you make it so I won’t be called a Single Lady no more.
My Mom will always be my One True Love
The bond I share with my sweet mama is beautiful and I know you will see it. I do not go a day without being in contact with her. I do not go three days without seeing her face to face (even if we do have to break out the face-time). The thing is, my mom is basically the shit so you probably will be face timing her yourself shortly there after I do.

If I have chosen you, you will know. I will be loyal. I will love unconditionally. I will be happy. I will be yours. You will be mine, we will be each others and yet our own.
