She said she wanted something true

Turned out she didn’t know what true was

Being that she wasn’t truthful herself


She said love me

Then she hated me

Treaded lightly

Cut me deeply

Snatched my heart out

Then she said she was the one

With the hole and falling apart


Loving her changed my life

Because loving her almost took my life

Everything I considered good

She turned bad


I told the truth, she called me a liar

I gave her proof, she gave me war

Blood, sweat and tears

Loving her was deadly

Like drinking poisoned whiskey

She was beautiful death, just waiting to happen


No wonder we crashed and burned

Then crashed and burned some more


There’s nothing left now

The ashes have blown

And the love is gone
