Growing up, we never really think about ourselves too much. We think about when the next time we will see our friends will be. We learn to unconditionally love our family and our friends. It does not matter what they do, we will always love them. Sure we may find reasons not to like our family or our friends at times, but we can never really stay mad at these people. They inspire us, entertain us, and they teach us lessons in life that we will not learn otherwise.
As we start to grow up and branch out, we will find people who we may fall in love with over time. These people are very special to us. Eventually, we may grow apart due to unknown reasons at the time. These relationships teach us who we are as a person and what we want in life.
Who is the hardest to love?
The hardest person to love in life is yourself. We hear from others growing up that we are not good enough. We hear that we are not beautiful, we are not intelligent, we are not friendly, etc. We hear all these things from our family, from our friends, and from strangers. Sure we may hear every now and then that we are appreciated, but we all know that every negative comment takes at least 5 positive comments to even them out. And even with positive comments from others, you may still feel negative about yourself
It may be our body weight, the way our hair stands, the way we walk, who we are as a person, our personality. It doesn't matter. We will hear these things from people.
We compare ourselves to others
Whenever we see someone, we automatically think about them. We think about how they walk, how they talk, how they react. We always compare them to ourselves because that is the person we know the best.
We think we are not "good enough
If we were good enough, we wouldn't be picked last for basketball. If we were good enough, we wouldn't have failed that math test. If we were good enough, that break up would never have happened. If we were good enough, our parents wouldn't have gotten that divorce. These thoughts are always spinning in our minds. If I didn't do that one thing, maybe my life would be better
It doesn't matter
We need to stop thinking negative thoughts about ourselves. Where do these thoughts get us? Absolutely no where. You are good enough. You are perfect. Everything you do inspires others. Instead of thinking negatively about yourself, just remember that you were created perfectly.
