Today, a lot teens don't necessarily know what love exactly is, and know one knows exactly how to describe it. Knowing how to describe love isn't an easy thing to do, which is normal, because you can't describe it. Love is different for everyone, but knowing the difference between love and lust is important. Knowing when you love someone and thinking that you do but it's lust can go on and make a relationship very difficult. What exactly is love though, and what exactly is lust?
Love
Love is a wondrous thing that no one can get the grasp of, and that's okay because it can be scary and it can be difficult. Love isn't just butterflies in the stomach or just spending time with one another. Love is unexplainable. Love is the fact of being with someone through thick and thin, making one another a better person, and going to "hell and back" and letting no one tear you apart. It's also about keeping your issues between the two of you, because if you don't that just makes matters worse. The subject of love is always a struggle and it's a constant battle, but if you continue to be committed to each other everything will be alright. Love- noun- a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
Lust
Lust is a complicated concept as well, but lust often goes mistaken as love. Lust is what people also call "puppy love" and it is close to love but isn't. Lust is where there is deep affection but it's mainly just spending every moment with one another, many gifts are given, you feel so affectionate about the other person that you can't ever be away, and there's constant attachment. A major difference that sets lust so far apart is that when there is a struggle or an issue that is when the feelings depart, and someone may sit there and debate whether or not they want to be together. Lust is a crazy concept, but it's majorly mistaken as love. Lust- noun- A passionate or overmastering desire or craving.
Love and Lust are major feelings that are commonly mistaken as each other, and they both are very complicated feelings which can lead us to do things that are out of the ordinary. Once we figure out the difference and figure out which one we actually feel, the out comes can be very rewarding. We may actually be able to get into a relationship with less confusion, and the fact that you know the difference will make like so much easier as well. Love and Lust is a fact of life that no one will ever fully understand, and that is perfectly fine. So don't get yourself down over it, stay positive, and all will end up great in the end.
