Becoming overwhelmingly busy is part of growing up. I know I'm experiencing a time in my life where I feel as though I have so many things that I need to get done that I have little time to do the things I actually enjoy.
But growing up doesn't mean destroying all of the chances you have to do something that brings you joy. There have been numerous studies on productivity stating that having some relaxation time throughout the week will actually improve your ability to be productive! Who would've thought, right?
Having a planner is a great way to find time to do something that you like to do. Budget in time to relax, to watch your favorite TV show, to read a book, or write... Whatever it is that you find relaxing, simply find the time. Writing down all of your obligations for the week definitely helps in doing that.
Get up a little early and enjoy the sunshine at this time of year, take a walk, or just sit in the sun. Getting some time outside has actually been proven to aid in productivity as well!
Life is hard, and we all find times in our lives that are overwhelming. We find we are miserable sometimes because of all the stress that comes with being busy. It's important to treat yourself to a face mask and bubble bath once and a while. To find calm in a crazy world is the best way to boost productivity, whether it be at work, or at school, you deserve some time to clear your thoughts, to be free from obligation, and most importantly, to have fun. I plan on finding time this summer to garden, to read, to learn new things that aren't part of my job, but part of my interests. I hope you have found a great excuse to take some time for yourself through reading this article.
