Dear Sisters,
As I sit here, thinking about my love for you, I am overwhelmed with the thought of trying to put into words my feelings. How can I possibly begin to describe how you impact me every day?
Yet, how many times have I taken you for granted? All of those times that I've seen you at chapter, out on campus, and at philanthropy events over the past few years and never taken a moment to stop and just appreciate every single one of you? It's those everyday, little things that make me fall more and more in love with you every day. So here's my chance now to tell you how I feel; I hope I can do you all justice.
I love the joy you bring me and to others on a daily basis. Thank you for providing your silly commentary during chapter that makes me giggle. (Even when I know I shouldn't be, whoops!) Thank you for making just the right joke after a long day of recruitment, when I'm tired and grouchy and ready to give up—you make it better. Thank you for being willing to look absolutely ridiculous with me when we dress up for a social theme. Thank you for taking goofy pictures with me at Bid Day. I hope you know your joy fills me up to the brim, and it truly makes a difference in my life.
I love the way you care so much. I love how passionate every single one of you are about philanthropy, about our chapter, about one another, and about all of the different things that make each of you individually unique. Never lose that passion, because it is such a huge part of what makes you so incredible.
I love how you're so open and have helped to create such an amazing sisterhood. I've never had sisters before, since I come from a family with all brothers, and I didn't really understand what sisterhood meant until I joined our chapter. I never knew what a wonderful thing it could be. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms and embracing me for who I am. Thank you for showing me what the support of 100 fabulous women looks and feels like. I have been changed by the love you've shown me as a sister, and I will be forever indebted to you all.
I love the way you lift me up and help me to become the person I'm meant to be. Thank you for believing in me, even when I didn't. Thank you for giving me the self-confidence I never knew I had. Thank you for teaching me how to be a leader. You are all strong, beautiful, confident women yourselves, and you truly make me better.
I am so blessed and lucky to call such an extraordinary group of women my sisters. I love you more than words can say.
