Dearest Ice Cream,
We have known each other for a very long time now. You are with me in my best times and in my worst times. Every heart break, every argument with my mom, and every sunny day you have been there for me. I know that no matter what I go through in a day I can come home to you and my day will be better.
Some people don't understand the love that I have for you. They think that you are too cold, that you can't warm up someones life. But we both know that this isn't true. No, like every thing else in the world, you are not perfect. You are high in calories and sometimes your brownie bites are a bit too bare, but either way I will love you to the end.
I am unsure if I can call this a friendship or a relationship. You have been there for me from the beginning. You are diverse. Your flavors are endless. From chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry to those that are more complicated like cookies n cream, s'mores, or my favorite cotton candy. You also come in many forms, milkshake, blizzard, soft serve, or classic hard ice cream you are delicious either way.
Have you ever had ice cream for breakfast? It can be the most satisfying way to start your day. On the reverse end, eating ice cream is also the best way to end your day. When you really think about it, having ice cream is good for any time of the day. You are complex and you get me better than anyone ever has. You not only comfort me when I am sad, but you help when I just want to hit my sweet tooth.
Unlike some of the other food that are "seasonal" you are good all year around. I have been told many times that ice cream should not be eaten in the winter, but oh how wrong they are. You are superior to those seasonal foods and you can be enjoyed no matter what. As Elsa would say, the cold never bothered me anyways.
Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for bringing me joy when I am sad, and excitement when I am happy. Thank you for always being available at all times of the year and in many different forms. Ice cream you can never let me down, and this means the most of all.
