Poetry is supposed to show a picture of emotion as the writer opens their pain as well as what they want to gain. It can give words of encouragement and hope to cope with the pain the world can bring. This is why I love to write. It gives me hope that I can be a positive light for the people around me. It is my voice when I am having doubt from within. It helped me move past the misery, which used to cling to me. It gave me an idea of who I could be if I truly decided to believe in myself. So, whenever you find what moves, you can be painting a beautiful picture. Always let it grow. You never know how far it may take you. So I wrote this poem about love, to show moments of happiness and sadness:

I'm in this room with you even though you don't see me.

You mean everything to me; you just don't want us to ever be.

Even though you can be yourself around me and I make you smile when no one else can, I am a man that will never forsake you.

You are in my mind, heart, and soul.

If I had you I would never roam from your heart.

My soul has found a place to call home, but you don't see me like I see you.

Yet I will never leave you.

You give me hope and joy and I would do anything for you, even if that meant stepping away, because your happiness comes before everything.

Because you are a true queen that deserves the finest things and I know that we can never be so I just wanted to say what you truly mean to me.

You are my heart, my soul, yet why do you treat me so cold.

You are my everything and you are the same person that causes the most sorrow.

Now I have become hollow and dead inside with a fake smile that is slowly eating away at me.

Why are you the one person I thought would never hurt me?

You are my reason for my endless agony.

I wait for the day you come back to me to put an end to this misery.

Remember when our eyes first met it was like sparks graced the night sky as our hearts began to fly.

My promise to you is that I'll always be here to hold you down, to be your rock on solid ground.

To take those scars away, being your light on your darkest days, wiping your tears away, so everyday I will smile and say that you are beautiful in everyway.

Loving you has taken the pain away.

Oh how I longed for that day when we could dance the night away as our troubles fade away.

Your beauty grows with each passing day.

How I love thee, let me count the ways, as our love will glow even after the end of our days.

You have such a warming embrace with a smile that can take the pain of the world away.

Reminding them of better days,

Your soul is as pure as snow with a stunning glow so don't let words hold you down.

Stay focused on making your unique sound,

Just know your amazing in every way and thank you for sending your smile my way.
