It seems that everyone at one point has had trouble with this part of life. We look at love as something that has been shown to us through movies, and most of us now have unrealistic expectations of what our love lives should become and how our partner should be in return. We've become conditioned to think that our prince charming or Cinderella would come looking for us, but in life you have to let love find you but not wait for it, be happy alone because being happy single is more important than being happy in a relationship, if you can't be happy alone being happy with someone becomes a dependency problem.
Realistically speaking, love is something that we know once we have, we may be loved, but to be truly in love is a completely different aspect. I once thought that I would never know love because true love is something from a story, but I found love at Lander University of all places. In college, freshman year I learned what being unconditionally in love meant and that feeling of knowing that someone has your back and the way they stare into your soul as they look into your eyes is something that nobody can forget. Once you fall in love, you know that something that breathtaking is real and for me, one man changed everything. I still remember the beginning, the moment that I met him I knew that my world had changed, that nothing would ever be the same since I knew him.
On a more thoughtful note, to all of you that are reading this and thinking of someone or wondering what to do with your perspective other, if this reminds you of someone then I say run to them, and don't let go because in all reality I believe that you only get one great love and everybody deserves to have that. I can't say that all relationships don't have problems but if you love them, you will always work through the issues. Don't let true love become something of a fairy tale and don't search for love, because the moment I stopped searching and chose to be happy over everything else was the moment that love found me and that was the best choice I have ever made.
