Love At First Glance

Have you ever felt this?

"When I first saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew it." One of the cutest quotes ever written by William Shakespeare.

Relationships and dating all have influences on people's actions and mood. Being in a relationship can be frustrating and ecstatic at the same time, like when you get into a huge fight but can’t stay mad because you love them. It has this euphoric effect that makes you wonder if you are truly happy... or infatuation has dominated your endorphin production.

When do you know if you truly love the person you are with? When does it all happen? Is it love at first site? Did you ever look into that person's eyes and think, "they are the one?"

How does this happen? Why?

Discovering a deeper connection with someone through conversation with someone is a great feeling: hearing your phone go off and seeing a text from them can make your heart melt and stir those butterflies in your stomach like nothing else. It can strengthen the knowledge that you only want to be with them and no one else. Sometimes you start talking to someone and just drift off into your own world thinking, "Wow, how can I ever be this lucky?"

This, my friends, is called love: love can bring out the best in you, and can make you feel like a kid experiencing Disneyland's magic for the first time ever day. And whenever you are not together, the only thing on your mind is them. Whenever you are together, the time goes by a little too quickly for what you can make of it. Whenever I spend time with my boyfriend, we end up watching movies or walking on the beach, but it still doesn’t seem to be a lot of time.

Experiencing the love in the air can be a wonderful feeling as well. Displaying that sweet side of you that nobody knew existed can show your friends and family just how happy you are. Love can inspire some people to do and be their best. When you're in love, you don't ever want the feeling to go away. And when you find somebody who makes you feel that way, and they also feel the same, don't let them go.

Finding someone like that nowadays can be really hard, but I know that when I found mine, it was my first semester of college... and completely unexpected. You don't have to go searching for that right person because sometimes, they'll find you. A chance encounter at the library, on the way to class, McDonald's even - I have faith that your special someone will make their way into your life. Magic often happens when you least expect it.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
