Forget Broken Hearts From Boyfriends, What Hurts The Most Is Heart Breaks From Losing A Best Friend

Imagine the closest person to you, your absolute best friend. This person is someone that knows you better than anyone else. They can see you through it all, better than anybody. All the secrets you've shared, the late nights venting over boys, the food runs, and countless memories you have. Your future maid of honor, the imagined mother in law of your child, the sister you never had.

It doesn't matter how long you've known them for, they still seem to understand you better than anybody else. No matter how much time you spend with them or how frequently you talk, at the end of the day, that is your other half.

Not even your significant other will share the same bond as this person, boyfriends can come and go, but your best friend will still be there, that shoulder to cry on, and that guidance to console you through all your struggles.

But what happens when that person isn't your person anymore. What do you do when this person you planned an entire future full of laughter until you cry, exotic vacations, and family gatherings is no longer written into your plans.

Who do you turn to when the boy you like finally talks to you, or you get that new job you guys had been talking about. Who are you supposed to confide in when you aren't feeling your best self, or vent to when your parents frustrated you. How are you supposed to react when you see them around, and you guys haven't spoken in forever?

Nobody else knows the highs and lows, so how do you rebuild this connection with somebody else? These are all the questions that flood my mind.

It is hard to imagine anybody else learning your deepest darkest secrets. It's daunting to imagine someone new becoming that other half. The sad reality is the insiders will never be the same and the jokes won't ever be as funny as they once were. The experiences you shared with them will become memories you now have to explain to someone new or things you just reminisce to yourself because you know it won't ever mean the same to someone else.

Best friends are the closest person to you in life, so how do you react when all of a sudden they're just somebody that you used to know?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
