Have you ever felt like you are just alone in your stress, burdens, or struggles? Let me tell you something. The devil is a trickster. He tries to get in our minds and fills us with all these lies. He likes to make us think that we aren't good enough for anyone. He likes to make us think that we are the only ones in the world struggling with all these different things. Then, all these lies start filling our minds and they eventually influence our spiritual relationships with God.

I think as college students we have the typical stereotype to feel stressed, and sometimes, it's 100% a thing. We have classes, some people work, some people are in other organizations on campus or around town. It can feel like a lot of weight on you at times. However, as Christians, we aren't supposed to be caught up in all this darkness all alone. God called us to be living in the light instead. He wants you to step out of this cloud of doubts, insecurities, worries, etc. and be confident in Him and yourself.

Sometimes, it's easy to not have confidence in who you are, especially when you are stressed about life. We must remember the truths that God tells us, not what the devil tells us.

TRUTH #1: YOU ARE CHOSEN

God chose you. He was going to did for you, not because you wanted Him to but because He always had a purpose. His death enables us to be good enough. We are no longer bond to the flesh.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. – John 15:16

TRUTH #2: YOU ARE ABLE

Life isn't going to be easy. It's hard. Life is not fair. We don't always get what we want. But even when we are tempted, He is going to give strength to endure it. He gives us an escape to get out of this situation, so don't beat yourself up.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. – Corinthians 10:13

TRUTH #3: YOU ARE UNIQUE

He made you exactly to be YOU. He knew who you were before you were even born. Recognize that you are God's workmanship. Be confident in your gifts that He has given you and remember that you are not like everyone else, so don't compare yourself.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. -Psalm 139:14-15

TRUTH #4: YOU ARE LOVED

In case you didn't already know this, HE LOVES YOU. HE DIED FOR YOU. It doesn't make sense. "How can God love me?" We don't deserve His love and mercy but He gives it to us anyway. We are His children. He loves us so much.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16

Remember these truths. Have confidence in our Lord and in yourself. Don't beat yourself up too much. God's got a plan and we have to trust and be faithful in Him.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
