Long distance is the absolute worst. No matter if you've been in an LDR for two weeks or two years, it never exactly gets easier. Every time your S/O leaves, it never stops hurting until their absence starts to feel normal. While you can feel every mile between you and your love, it's so comforting to know that someone has been in that same position...so we turn to music.
If I Could Fly - One Direction
"If I could fly/I'd be coming right back home to you/I think I might give up everything/just ask me to"
"I'm missing half of me when we're apart"
Lay Me Down - Sam Smith
"I don't want to be here if I can't be with you tonight"
I'm Already There - Lonestar
(I know, I know. Gross, country. But bear with me here)
"We may be a thousand miles apart/but I'll be with you wherever you are/ I'm already there/ Take a look around/ I'm the sunshine in your hair/ I'm the shadow on the ground/ I'm the whisper in the wind/ And I'll be there until the end/ Can you feel the love that we share/ Oh I'm already there"
House on the Hill - Honor Society
"Eighteen years old/enlisted and boarding a plane/He bought what they sold/just like a moth to the flame/He's scared and all alone in a distant place/Don't want to let it show but the fear's on his face/Got a girl back home that he'll see next May/And what he doesn't know is there's one on the way"
Come Back...Be Here - Taylor Swift
"Taxi cabs and busy streets/they never bring you back to me/I can't help but wish you took me with you"
