Some people say they don’t believe in long distance and that you are as good as dead if you try. However, in my opinion, long distance is the best thing that has ever happened to me and my significant other. It has built us stronger in more ways than one.

It has built us in our trust, in our faith, and in our love. Our trust in each other to remain loyal, faithful, and strong. Our faith in the Lord to lead us in the right direction towards happiness, as individuals and together. Our love for each other's voices every night before bed.

Long distance isn’t supposed to be easy. In reality, it should be the hardest thing you both go through. I say this because if it didn’t hurt to miss them, do you really? It is supposed to make you cry every so often because it shows that you still care. It is supposed to feel heart wrenching and hard because it shows your love is still strong.

People often call it off when the times get tough, but I refuse to lose my significant other because they mean too much to me.

We survive because we choose to fight for each other, and to me, that makes it all worth it.

Long distance isn’t for every couple, but it is for the strongest and most committed. It’s for the couple's who tell each other everything, even if it’s stuff they don’t want to hear. It’s for the couple's who have 100% trust in one another with out fear they will ever break it. It’s for the couple's who don’t keep secrets but do keep surprises.

It’s for the couple's who have faith in the Lord, in it working out, and in one another.

It is hard to ever know what the future does hold in these circumstances, but, one thing I do know for sure, I would not change it for the world.

To the person I get to experience this with:

Thank you for doing life with me. Thank you for loving me no matter how far. Thank you for supporting me and pushing me to be a better person than yesterday. Thank you for fighting.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
