Fortunately or not, we live in an age where it seems like phones are handcuffed to people's sleeves. Texting is a major lifeline for teens, friend groups and parents alike. We all have that friend, the one that is on their phone constantly and somehow never answers. Or the one that 'never saw that' or 'fell asleep' (for a week). Needless to say, it would seem there's an unwritten rule book to texting and some are better at following it than others.
- If the conversation ends in a question mark the conversation shouldn’t have ended.
- If you’re not going to answer, don’t start the conversation.
- If you fall asleep texting someone, it's your job to start the conversation in the morning.
- K, Haha, Yeah, Lol, are automatic conversation enders.
- If the answer is ‘fine.’ the person you’re texting is not fine. What did you do?
- Likewise if the text is ‘k’ NOTHING is OK. Now you did it for sure.
- If you’re going to be busy, let the person texting you know you haven't died.
- ‘Can I ask you a question?’ should only be asked if you would like to give your companion a heart attack.
- ^If you’re going to dare to ask ‘can I ask you a question?’ hurry up and ask the question before the other person does have a heart attack.
- Emojis sent should be greater than or equal to emojis received. Unrequited emojis is unrequited love.

12. If a paragraph is received you can’t pick and choose which parts of it to acknowledge in your reply.
13. If you’re talking to only one person, take your business out of the group chat.
14. No one’s too busy to answer a text within week.
15. It's totally OK, if not encouraged, to double, triple, quadruple text your best friend.
16. Read receipts ruin friendships.
17. Let’s be real you probably didn’t ‘Lol’ and you’re not ‘Dying’ but we'll pretend.
