Living With Your Best Friends, As Told By "Friends"

We've all heard it: "Don't live with your best friends." You've been told a story of a falling out of best friends who tried living together. Well, I'm here to tell all you moving in with your number ones next year that it's an incredible time. It worked out in "Friends," and doesn't that count as real life? You'll have a whole lot of fun and a whole lot of this:

Always having someone to sit and eat a whole roll of cookie dough/ bake cakes/ ramble on about life with.

Coming home after the first date to a living room of excitement and questions about your new favorite guy.

Having roomie support and coffee for pre-test freak outs.

And their necessary presence for post-test celebrations.

So many family dinners/ dance parties/ wine nights.

No one ever wearing clothes (you knew this was coming).

Their parents being like family and occasionally blessing the house with food after eating bananas and rice for a week.

Old and new group pics covering your adorable house.

Trying to figure out why there is a pile of dishes in the sink after you cleaned all yesterday.

Having the greatest nights out together and not knowing that much fun was possible.

Trying out new things and having their honest opinions there to guide you.

The best worst decisions you've ever made happening together.

Having their love when you figure out the guy you like is into strictly open relationships and, well, not you.

Living in the room next to your back-up.

Little surprises and cute notes.

Having your best friends within yelling distance when your world seems to be falling apart (or your group project partners end up being worse than imaginable).

Workout partners. At minimum, someone there to tell you how good you're looking after that mile jog.

Constant jamming to all of your favorite songs and celebrating every beautiful day.

Staying up all night binge watching your favorite shows together because you hard workers deserve it.

Realizing you want your future boyfriend to be them in male form.

Screaming about school together.

Thinking about how you dreamed of being roommates when you were younger -- now you are and life is magical.

Living with your #1 late night food run partners and fans.

Thinking you know everything about each other, then really figuring out too much.

Missing food and knowing where the culprit lives.

Immediately knowing you are going to be friends with the new pals they bring over.

So. Many. Hugs.

This one's for the Gilchrist Girls. Thanks and love always.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
