Dear Best Friend,
I never imagined that I ever have a chance to live with my childhood best friend. Throughout the years, we have spent the night at each other's houses and never wanting to leave each other when the weekend came to an end. When our high school career ended, we decided to go separate ways to pursue our higher education. As I watched my family move away from the small town that we grew up in, you watched me move into your house.
It felt like a Hannah Montana moment when Miley and Lily moved in together. I was so excited that I was finally able to say that I got a chance to live with my best friend. At first, we had some worries about getting sick of seeing each other on a daily basis or getting into ridiculous arguments. Over the next few weeks, our worries began to diminish as we enjoyed each other's company and realized that we have opposite work schedule. I would come home late at night from work and you're already fast asleep while you get up early in the morning to head into work. During our days off, we would come up with adventures to go such as hiking, taking the dog for a walk, or shopping. Living with you was so easy, I was able to talk to you in person on a daily basis and have an amazing support system in my life.
To the people who are nervous/debating about living with your best friend, I would say that you should never be afraid to take that step. You have known each other for so long that you have become aware of each other's limits and boundaries. Living with someone that you know so well is so much better than living with a complete stranger. You learn to work together as a team and accept criticisms from each other. You realize how lucky you are to find someone who enjoys having you in their life as much as you do. You learn to find time to spend with each other, but also with your significant other, family, or other friends. You will always have each other's back, so go ahead move in together and create new adventures and memories.
