Here's What Happened: My roommate that I so dearly loved rooming with during fall 2014, decided to leave me! FOR STUDY ABROAD! So, my first thought was to invite someone into my room before I got assigned a random person. I turned to none other than one of my best friends at school. AND guess what, she is still one of my best friends! You could say that we both had our happily ever after in room 416 together! Some people say it isn't a good idea to live with your bestfriend, but, I say nay! Here are some reasons why living with a best friend last year was AMAZING.
1. She has great taste!
When she moved in, she brought along all of her adorable decor! Being best friends, we have similar interests and style! The following is a list of things we both love and had in our room: The colors mint green, pink, and blue, Disney princesses, mermaids, Tri Delta crafts, and much much more!
2. She was my cafateria buddy!
I don't know about you, but being in the cafeteria alone is scary sometimes. When I am alone in a big, busy cafateria so many thoughts run through my head. Where do I sit? Who can I find to sit with? Plus waiting in line for food is so much better when you have company. With my best friend as my roommae, I always had a breakfast, lunch, and dinner buddy whenever I needed one!
3. Best friends always have each others backs!
If I needed to borrow something I needed and couldn't find- she had it. We knew we could depend on each other for anything, whether it be borrowing a pen or a tampon. It wasn't weird or awkward as it sometimes can be with someone you don't know on a personal level. If ever something was going on in my life or in hers, we went through it together and were there for each other at literally ANY second of the day or night.
4. Guests!
Having a guest was never awkward- it was actually FUN! With someone you don't know as your roommate, comes with them inviting people over that you also don't know. When you find out that someone who is a total stranger to you is sleeping over in your room next week- the reaction usually isn't to smile and jump for joy... With my best friend as my roommate I was prepared and excited to meet her visiting friends because her friends, were my friends!
5. Problems?! What Problems?!
If there was ever an issue or arguement it didn't last very long. We both resolved our issues quickly because we knew that whatever fight was happening, wasn't going to be worth ruining a best friendship over. After all, best friends are forever.
