You live in Louisville? I Wasn't Sure.

Louisville is a bustling city. From the weekly concerts on Fourth street to the crazy things you see sitting on Bardstown road for 10 minutes. If you live in Louisville, I'm sure everyone knows, because the things that happen here are definitely picture worthy. Here are 6 occasions that you have to attend if you live in Louisville.

1. Thunder over Louisville. This attracts more than just locals, this is a huge event that people travel to see -- and is well worth it despite the insane traffic you endure after. A 10 minute drive can easily turn into and hour and a half. Who doesn't love fireworks though, really?

2. Oaks. Held the Friday before the Derby each year. It's where the fillies run. However, this event is really just an excuse for college students to dress up and take pictures in the infield because we're all too poor to get tickets anywhere else.

3. Derby. The Kentucky derby. This is a thing known outside of Louisville, outside of Kentucky. Honestly, famous people come and where big hats and watch "the greatest two minutes in sports." Which is pretty cool. Everybody likes watching horses.

4. Forecastle and Louder than Life. Two HUGE music festivals that you should attend at least once. Also, completely picture worthy.

5. Ironman. While a really cool event, also really inconvenient. Another one of those, don't drive anywhere because you'll never be able to get back home kind of things. If you compete in this race, cheers to you! I got tired just watching you all run at 11 at night while I couldn't get back to my apartment because all. the. roads. are. closed.

6. Festivals. The amount of festivals in Louisville are amazing. There's something for everyone, from the St. James Art festival, Louisville Brewfest, to the Waterfront Independence festival. The options are limitless and if your instagram and snapchat aren't making you look like you live your best life after these, I'm not sure what you're doing.

Here's to cool memories and an even cooler social media presence because Louisville has really got it all.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
