Brother,
I cannot believe it's your turn to graduate high school! It seems like it took you no time at all to get there. I still remember the days when we were young and used to do nothing but fight with each other over who got the middle seat, but now you're grown and getting ready to leave home now!
During this special time in you life, I want you to know how proud I am of you. I have watched you through all your weird, awkward and sometimes mean stages, but I can honestly say you've grown into an amazing young man. You're smart, outspoken and all things boy, yet you know when to soften it up and ask what boy I need you to beat up this time. People always used to say that we would be best friends someday and I always thought to myself, "I'm gonna be best friends with that?!" But yes, as much as I didn't think I would grow up to be best friends with the kid who taped his Tech Deck ramps to my computer desk, they were right. I'm not sure that you will find anyone that will cheer harder for you through the ups and downs of life.
This next chapter of life is going to bring you so many good times, but I will tell you this, there will also be bad times. There will be challenges and struggles, big life decisions and all-nighters. Sometimes you will feel like you're being pushed to the limits, but you can handle it. You've been through situations that have prepared you for those moments. After all, it's just one test. Just one bad day. Don't ever let that bad days define you.
The people that are going to help you cruise past your bad days are the friends you will make. College is going to open up your world more than you could ever imagine. You will learn that there are so many different kinds of people that you just didn't get a chance to meet in your graduating class of forty. There will be people that challenge your thoughts, beliefs and morals, but always stay true to who you are. By doing that, it will bring you those special people who see who you really are and think you're cool enough to hang around. Together you will have some of the best nights of your life, but with that being said, don't forget about the people that shaped you childhood and made you the person you are today.
I want nothing more than to see you succeed in life, which I know you will because you know how to work until you get the job done. Know that as your sister, I am so proud of everything you've accomplished so far. As you graduate and take on more responsibilities, you'll always have a teammate and best friend in me. You will want to grow up fast in life, but don't do it! Stay young and have fun as long as you can!
I love you!
Your Big Sis
