Looking back now, it seems absolutely nuts that I have a little sister in my sorority, considering I just joined Fall of 2015. I knew from the first time we hung out that she was meant to be my little sister. She has become one of the best things Theta Phi Alpha has given me in this short time that I have been in the chapter. I was stunned that they would actually allow me to guide someone on their journey in this chapter I call home. When I picked her up, I knew I was getting a little, but I had no idea that I would be gaining a new best friend.
We have random lunch dates, study dates and we get ready together for sorority events. I cannot imagine not having her around. The best part about us is that we both want our big/little relationship to be more like a friendship instead of a weird mother/daughter style relationship. So I get to be her big, but I also get to be her best friend to do stupid things with.
With recruitment approaching, she has repeatedly told me how much she wants to pick up her own little (stop trying to make me feel old so soon) and she wants their relationship to be just like ours. She wants to eat a whole pizza with her and then ask her if she's still hungry. She wants to go Goodwill shopping and find the best deals with her. She wants to have random study dates where no one actually studies and just goof off and drink coffee the whole time. I cannot wait to be there with her to buy all of her little's gifts and craft our little hearts out.
Although my little and I have not known each other for very long, she has been there for me since we were paired. I will never forget the time she changed my flat tire while helping me move out of my dorm. I have literally never had a friend that would do something so drastic for me. I can feed her and love her and give her many gifts, but her friendship is something for which I could never repay. She's hilarious. She's perfect. She's my best friend. She's my precious little!
