To my girls,
The first semester of freshman year was filled with many, many emotions. I was scared to come into a strange place where nothing was familiar; I was excited to start on a new journey of success, I was anxious to meet new people and was worried I wouldn’t find my niche. After the first couple of days I realized I had nothing to be worried about; I had nothing to be afraid of and had everything to be thrilled about. You guys didn’t just become my best friends, you became family that will never be able to be replaced.
Throughout my four years of college, I have the world to thank you for because I couldn’t have done this alone.
1. Thank you for being there to watch endless amounts of Netflix.
Literally. Hours of Netflix. Seasons at a time. Homework? Who has time for that? NO ONE. We have Netflix to watch!
2. Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on.
You are there for me every time I have a tear running down my face. I don’t think you ever let one single drop hit the floor. Even if you were wearing a really cute shirt – you let me use it as a snot rag, thank you (and I’m really sorry).
3. Thank you for being the first person to say “let’s get ice cream.”
Before we sat down to cry over one of our favorite Nicholas Sparks’ movies and basically any other day of the week that ends with -day.
4. Thank you for pushing me to my limits.
Thank you for pushing me not only on the field or in the classroom, but also for always pushing me to my limits to become a better person. You playing devil’s advocate is totally a pain in the ass, but thank you (I will never thank you for that again so just soak it in now).
5. Thank you for being the first person to pick me up when I don’t succeed.
Sometimes I can be insanely hardheaded and stubborn, but of the risks I’ve taken, despite your advice, you are seriously always there when I trip up and don’t succeed. So, thank you for peeling my face off of the sidewalk. It makes every jump and risk a whole lot easier knowing that you would be there every single time.
6. Thanks for being the first person to say “I told you so.”
No, seriously, you’re always the first, good or bad. But somehow it never really gets old to either look back and crack up or to look back and cringe that you were right.
7. Thank you for being able to know what I was saying when I wasn’t even using words.
Every time I look at you after something happens, you always know what I’m about to say before I even say it. It’s magical. Telepathy is real.
8. Thank you for being able to read my mind.
Getting those texts saying “Dunkin?” as I sit in bed, drooling for an iced coffee after a night out makes me think that I’m supposed to marry you. You know me like the back of your hand.
9. Thank you for letting me borrow all of your clothes.
And I’m really sorry for keeping them. And for staining them. And for shrinking them. One of these days, I’ll buy you some new stuff.
10. Thank you for being my partner in crime.
Thank you for the spontaneous road trips, the everyday shenanigans, for never letting me go to the bathroom at the bars alone, for singing throwbacks with me every morning, afternoon and night, for dancing ridiculously through the house in our underwear and for doing practically everything with me no matter what it was.
11. Thank you for being brutally honest.
Sometimes too honest. But thank you anyway.
12. Thank you for believing in me.
When the stars weren’t in my favor, at least you always were.
13. Thank you for making me laugh every single day.
Until tears are rolling down my face and I’m hunched over with stomach pains.
14. Thank you for laughing at me.
Thanks for understanding my jokes and my sense of humor and thank you for calling me out on my stupidity.
15. Thank you for being you.
These 15 reasons don’t even scratch the surface. I have so much more to thank you for and I feel as if there is nothing I can ever do to repay you for the love and support you have shown throughout our friendship.

9. Thank you for letting me borrow all of your clothes.
