Inevitability, we will all have our bad days, whether it be school, our job, or our personal life. However, we don't have to be completely helpless. No matter how down you are feeling, here are six quick, self-help tips that will cheer you up and put you back on your feet!
1. Count your blessings.
Too often, in a material world, we get sidetracked by small things that have no meaning to our life. Take time to be thankful for all the positive things going on in your life whether it be your friends, family, or your independent self.
2. Spread kindness.
Being generous and giving out kind words not only helps you feel better but other people as well. This world always needs a little more love.
3. Let go of what you can not control.
No need in stressing or worrying about something you can do nothing about. This eliminates tons of stress if you are someone who stresses constantly about everything.
4. Listen to your heart.
Like the song by Roxette, you can sing it or just actually listen to the advice. Your heart will always know what's best for you, your brain -- logical. However your heart, full of emotion and life -- more reliable.
5. Be productive.
Accomplishing your hidden away "to-do" lists, or just putting a mask on your face and taking a day to pamper yourself. Whatever makes you feel like you have accomplished something and made your life better by doing so.
6. Just breathe.
The 6th, but most important step on this list, just breathe -- RELAX. Everything always works out, rainy days turn into sunshine. This life, your life, is a wonderful thing. Take advantage of every opportunity, be thankful for what you have, and leave the rest in good spirits.
