HBO's hit comedy, Girls, is hands down the best show ever. I literally feel like I'm watching my life on television. Okay maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but regardless, Girls proves to be the anthem of all 20- somethings trying to figure out their place in this perplexing, dog- eat- dog world. I personally feel like I'm most like the main character, Hannah Horvath. I relate 110% to basically everything she says. So, I thought I'd share some of her words of wisdom just in case some of you chickies aren't fortunate enough to have experienced Hannah's brilliance first- hand.

1. Don't be afraid to speak your mind.

Your thoughts and ideas are important. And who knows, maybe they can change the world!

2. Learn to time manage.

Time management is paramount to success in life. You'll never reach your full potential if you spend too much time doing the wrong things.

3. Do what makes you happy.

You don't ever have to do anything you don't want too. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Get rid of things in your life that bring you down or make you unhappy.

4. Don't let people take advantage of you.

You're fabulous and have SO many amazing qualities. Don't let people take advantage of your awesomeness.

5. Call people out when they say something you're not a fan of.

Don't let people belittle you. Call them out on their BS and stick up for yourself.

6. Tell your friends how important they are to you.

People you care about deserve to know how much you appreciate them. A nice little reminder every now and then isn't a bad idea.

7. Tell them what makes them great.

Let those crazy SOBs know what you love so much about them and why you keep them around.

8. But also let them know when they're not being that good of friends.

Sometimes we're the meanest to those we love the most. It's okay to tell those we love when they're being totally irrational and, well, a jerk.

9. Keep track of your period.

This is so important for so many reasons. Mainly, it explains the unexpected mood swings and irrational thought processes displayed once every month. Also, it can help salvage some of your favorite pairs of underwear.

10. Keep track of your well- being.

Keep yourself in check. Life can get tough ! We all know that. Don't be afraid to let those around you know when you feel like you're drowning.

11. Practice positive self- talk.

You got this!! And don't be afraid to remind yourself of that.

12. Remember what you're worth.

Only involve yourself in relationships that build you up, not tear you down.

13. Don't be afraid to walk away from things that no longer serve you.

I know it can be hard to let go of people you once loved, but it'll be so worth it in the end.

14. Don't be your own worst enemy.

The world's hard enough out there without beating yourself up about everything. Be your own cheerleader, not your own judge.

15. Get out of your head.

Don't doubt yourself. Stop overthinking and just do it!

16. Take time to recharge.

Make some "you" time. Take time every now and then to do things you love and things that keep you grounded and sane.

17. Remember: It could be WORSE.

Even when everything seems to be going wrong, always remember it could be worse. Stay positive!

And there you have it! Hannah Horvath is definitely a role model of mine. I highly recommend watching Girls every chance you get. You won't regret it!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
