"The Hills" star who got her start on "Laguna Beach" or the fashion icon who has overtaken Kohls, no matter how you know her, every young adult girl is familiar with the name Lauren Conrad (LC). So, let's reflect upon her character and all of the important life lessons we learned from her.
1. Be the friend that says the things no one else has the guts to.
We all have that friend that tells us what we don't want to hear, but secretly know we have to. Be this friend always. You will be the one saving your friend from the bad and cheering her on that much harder through the good.
2. Doing nothing is just as bad.
If you think you are protecting your friend by withholding information, you aren't. Tip-toeing around feelings will do nothing, but hurt someone when the truth unfolds. Your friend will be more upset in the end if she finds out you knew all along and just stood by.
3. You won't be friends with everyone you meet, and that's okay.
Don't waste all of your energy on people who don't clash well with you. It's okay not to please everyone. Just focus on yourself for a change and the positive people, who are worthwhile, will come along.
4. Appreciate the great people in your life.
While you don't have to please everyone, just constantly thank those around you who are helping you through it all. Whether it be the best news you can withstand or the worst, if they are still your cheerleader, then take great pride of your friendship with them.
5. NEVER chose a guy over your friends.
This is the most important rule, but somehow we are all guilty of this in one instance or another. If you end up back with this friend, then you already got the best out of this situation. This is a live and learn situation, but all of the best lessons are taught through experience.
6. Don't ever let a guy make you question if it's right or not.
If you find yourself questioning whether this guy is "the one", then he isn't. Whenever you find him, there should be no doubt left in your decision. Nor should you have to prove your worth to him or make yourself feel like you have to go above and beyond to prove to him that you can be his "one." So, stick to your guns, and if it doesn't feel right, it's because it's not.
7. Life is Tough.
Last and certainly not least, life is rough. No one promised it would be easy, and it's surely not. The hardships make us appreciate the peaks even more.
