Life Lessons We All Learned From Watching "Boy Meets World"

3,684 minutes. Seven years. That is all it took for the story of a boy named Cory to become a part of our hearts. If you were a '90s kid, then you probably have watched this show and probably fell in love with it like millions of others. We laughed. We cried. We rooted on our favorite couple. We grew up together. We were a part of the Savage family just as much as they were a part of ours. Some shows you enjoy. Some shows you grow out of and sometimes a show helps shape who you are. "Boy Meets World" is not just a TV show; it is a beacon for when life gets too hard or rough and we just look for words of wisdom just to get us through the day.

Mr. Feeny wasn't just a teacher to Cory, Topanga and Shawn; he was a teacher to all of us. Cory and Shawn weren't just the best of friends, but instead, they showed us what true friendship looked liked. Cory and Topanga weren't just sweethearts; they showed us what being truly in love looks like (with growing pains) and how to stick with one through the good and the bad. Eric taught us that there is more to life than being book smart and that sometimes just being you is the best thing of all and that wisdom knows no bounds. In honor of that, here are some life lessons we all learned from "Boy Meets World."

1. When all else fails, the only thing that you can do is be hopeful because with hope you can change your world.

2. Life changes, and there is nothing you can do about it.

3. Life is hard. It's not always going to go your way, but you're just along for the ride.

4. The things that meant the most to you when you were younger (even by a day) are not always going to be the things that matter. You grow up and change and so do the things that you let affect you.

5. Blood does not make a family. Family is more than who you were sired to.

6. Your friends are your family, and sometimes that is the best and only family you will need.

7. A relationship is more than an "us." It is a partnership. Two people who are different yet come together to form something beautiful.

8. A pencil is not just a pencil. Innuendos are anything and everything, and even when you don't think you need your friend, they have your back (especially with people of the opposite sex).

9. Money seduces. It is something you need, something you want and, in the end, something that if you give it the power, it can control you (and something your friends are always willing to loan you).

No matter how many times you have seen this show or how many years have passed, every time you watch it you can learn something new. Another lesson "Boy Meets World" taught us is there is always more to learn, you just have to be open to it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
