Anyone that has seen Avatar: The Last Airbender knows that it truly is amazing. The characters, the plot, the redemption. But, it has some great advice and life lessons can that impact our lives and help us become better people. So, here are some of the best and thoughtful quotes from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

1. Obviously the first one is going to come from Zuko.

This quote is said when Zuko is trying to give Sokka advice. They are stranded on an island prison, with no way to escape, and people they need to rescue. Everything that can go wrong, has gone wrong. Zuko tries to be positive, and tries to give Sokka advice. So, when life gets hard, we should focus on the positive! What Zuko said didn't help Sokka at all, but maybe it can help you!

2. Smellerbee!!!

I think we should all strive to be Smellerbee. She is so fierce and confident. She doesn't care what people think, because she knows who she is. She doesn't take crap from anyone. She's happy with who she is, and that's more than enough for her.

3. Aang's advice to Katara

In this episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Katara is really struggling to forgive people. She can't forgive Zuko, she's angry, she's hurt, and she's putting all her hurt and anger on to everyone else. Eventually, everyone realizes it's not Zuko she's having a hard time forgiving, it's the man that killed her mother. Katara wants revenge, but Aang tries to convince her to forgive. We all know that forgiveness can be a hard and difficult process, but in the end, we are all better off with forgiveness.

4. Bumi, the mad genius

In the city, there is a delivery service, Bumi sees a roller coaster. We have to open our mind to see new perspectives and new ideas. Being closed-minded is a hindrance to ourselves and to others. We have to keep an open mind. Who knows what new ideas we'll see?

5. The Lion Turtle

We cannot allow ourselves to be corrupted by darkness and evil. If we stay true to the light within us, nothing can corrupt us. We must remain good and be the light in the world. And, if we're bright enough, we can spread our light.

6. Monk Gyatso

Sometimes, we may focus on the past. Something embarrassing we did, someone that hurt us, a mistake we made, a really good memory we can't stop thinking about, a person we lost touch with, or a just a day we want to remember or forget. But the past doesn't define who we are. We have the opportunity to change ourselves, for better or worse. It's our decision. But we must focus on who we are and who we will be, not who we were.

7. Toph

Like Smellerbee, Toph is comfortable with who she is. She knows who she is, and likes it and owns up to it. She doesn't seek validation from anyone. She validates herself. We need to accept ourselves like Toph does. We don't need to look for validation or approval from anyone else.

8. Katara as the Painted Lady

Sometimes we rely on other people and we expect them to help us. But we need to realize that we are capable of helping ourselves. We are often stronger than we think we are. We just have to trust ourselves and believe in ourselves.

9. Suki, the Kyoshi warrior

Suki teaches us that we can be both strong and graceful. We can be beautiful and fierce. She shows her feelings, but also shows her power. We don't have to chose, we can be both. And we can be both amazingly.

10. Uncle Iroh

Iroh is obviously the wisest of all the characters. His quotes are the best, and most heartfelt. When we feel at our worst and have the darkest of days, we need to understand that we are their for ourselves. We can find hope within ourselves, we can keep going because we believe in ourselves.

11. Sokka, the sarcasm and meat guy

The library is amazing. It contains more life lessons than this post ever could. Books are filled with amazing stories and facts. If you're bored, go to the library! If you need homework help, go to the library! Interested in a subject, go to the library! The library is a wonderful place!

12. Guru Pathik

Sometimes, we may think we are separate from others, but that is not the case. Even though we may live in a different city or country from another, doesn't mean that we are separated. We are all humans, and we all live on this planet. We are all going through this life together, so we may as well make the most of it. Enjoy life, be kind, and do good. :)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
