Life Lessons, As Told By 'Gilmore Girls'

You learn to deal with the inevitable and just embrace it, because some things you just can't change. Like Mondays.

Especially on Mondays.

In that moment, there's probably nothing better than those cheese fries you're eating.

It's okay to be afraid of the unknown. Not knowing where to start when it comes to jobs is okay, you'll figure it out. Everyone eventually does. You're learning every day, give yourself some credit.

Especially when you're hungover.

It's totally normal to have the realization that you probably should leave your room after a week. We all go through that. Staying in is fun, but sometimes partying with the homies is just as fun.

Don't deny that you think about this at least once a day. Then you attempt to make it happen and it just doesn't, so naturally you keep thinking about it. It's like a vicious cycle.

No grandma, I don't think I'll be single my entire life, but thanks for reminding me that I am.

Everyone wants somebody, so when you're feeling lonely, just know that someone else is probably waiting for someone exactly like you. We all want that one person to hang out with for forever.

For all those people that aren't morning people, you feel me on this one. That being said, a little piece of advice for you: coffee does wonders.

Why we love bad boys? I don't know. But every girl has had that bad boy crush we can't get enough of. Just make sure he's worth it and has a motorcycle.

How easy is it to not take that chance? Too easy. So just embrace the uncertainty and try something new. You're probably going to be glad you did. And when you look back at that experience, you'll learn something new, which is what's most important.

Even if everything is going wrong, it's so easy to just smile. Who knows maybe you'll feel better if you turn that frown upside down.

The perfect solution to a break up or just routine for a regular Sunday. Try and tell me there is something better than pajamas, bed, ice cream, and pizza, individually or all together. Either way it rocks.

Sometimes you just need your mom. It happens, no matter how old you get.

Pretty self explanatory.

So much work. So little time. So much procrastination. Don't let the hard parts of college break you down. Just know you're not alone in feeling overwhelmed with college, Rori feels it too.

Try and live a life your proud of. Wake up every day wanting to be better, do better, and succeed. Want to be the best version of yourself.

True.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
