Ever since I was little I’ve always been told by my friends and family that I’m crazy. I like to think of it more like this; I make sure to create as much happiness as possible in each and every day. A big thing for me is making people laugh from the moment I wake up to the second my head hits the pillow, whether it be over text or in person. I've always thought that making people laugh is extremely important whether it be just a smile or a doubled over, hysterically crying kind of laugh.
For some people, it can be extremely hard for them to find happiness in a world like this. Some people probably think they're just being selfish but they're not; they didn't choose to not have reasons to be happy. In this case, when things are tough and you just can't seem to find a single thing to make you crack even a smile, that's when you have to look at the really small things in life. Yes, by small I mean how amazing that pepperoni pizza tastes or how happy someone gets when they hear their favorite song on the radio. Those are things you have to search for in a world that is so critical about what makes you happy. Don't let anyone take away those small things from you because your happiness should always be in your hands.
In a world like today, it can be very hard to find reasons to be happy especially when things can go so wrong. When it gets hard to find things to smile about, you have to appreciate the stupid things in life. It is very important to never make someone feel stupid or sad because of what makes them happy. It is also very important to have little things like a picture or a saying that makes you develop a beautiful smile across your face. Don't let anyone have control of your smile by what they say or do. I can't speak for everyone but I know that when I see someone look at their phone and start smiling because of a text message or something, I can't help but smile with them. Some people probably think that's dumb because I don't even know them, but they still deserve happiness just as much as the next person.
You never know how hard it was for that person to smile or what is even going on in their life. I guess what I am basically trying to say is seeing or making other people happy/laugh brings me tremendous joy. Things happen throughout the course of the day that can and will find a way to affect your mood/happiness no matter how hard you try not to let it. As you can tell, I'm all about not letting someone bring down your happiness by what they say or do, but sometimes life has a way of doing that all on its own. When life gets tough and things aren't looking so bright, look at that stupid picture your friend sent you the other day even if it only brings a smile to your face for a second. If you can do that and be able to smile when the going gets tough, then you're headed for a lifetime filled with laughter, joy and non-stop smiling. Just remember, every single person's smile and laugh are beautiful; it's the best thing any man or woman can wear.
