Do you ever wish that life came with a "How-To" manual? Ever feel like a plastic bag? Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again. Are you ready to learn about the ultimate life hacks? Well, lucky for you the comical genius, Michael G. Scott is here to offer a few words of encouragement. Let's face it, every now and then our lives become a mess, and we just can't seem to get it together. Michael is just like the rest of us. He has been through it all and still remains true to himself. Without further ado, I present to you a "How-To: Succeed in Life" according to Michael G. Scott. Enjoy the lessons of this wise man.

Lesson #1

Appreciate what you have, and know that everything happens for a reason. You can handle whatever life throws your way.

Lesson #2

Buy items that say "You Are The Best," so people know that you are the best.

Lesson #3

Make sure your loved ones are aware of just how much you love them.

Lesson #4

Dancing is a fun stress reliever. By the end of a song, you'll feel like you are on top of the world. Never fight the feeling, always embrace it.

Lesson #5

The worst thing you can do is keep your feelings all bottled up. Always be open and honest about how you feel about your friends, family and co-workers. They'll appreciate it, and you'll feel better about yourself knowing that they know how you feel.

Lesson #6

Don't forget to have fun. Going out and letting loose can make the bad times good, and the good times better.

Lesson #7

Figure out what your greatest assets are and own them! Remind yourself how awesome you are, even when you want to quit everything and nap.

Lesson #8

Know who you are and stand by it. Don't let anyone or anything stray you from who you are.

Lesson #9

Befriend your enemies. It takes more energy to hate someone then it does to accept them for who they are.

Lesson #10

Be spontaneous. Go out and make memories with your friends; stop sitting in silence, staring at your phone and do something fun together!

Lesson #11

Love what you do, do what you love. Find something your passionate about, and never stop doing it.

Lesson #12

Be thankful. Always.

Lesson #13

Hug everyone. Let them know you really appreciate them.

Lesson #14

Make a great comeback when you lose sight of who you are.

Lesson #15

Know that it is OK to ask for help.

Lesson #16

Stand up for what you believe in, even if you are standing alone.

Lesson #17

Eat ice cream for breakfast... at least once.

Lesson #18

Last, but certainly not least, accept yourself for who you are. Most importantly, remember that not everyone is going to like you. What matters is if like you who you are.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
