“Grey’s Anatomy” is probably one of the easiest shows to binge watch on Netflix. The episodes are always interesting and there is always a new twist to the show. The drama between the characters keeps you wanting more and I like to think that if I worked in a hospital and was a surgeon, it would be just like Seattle Grace. While I am only on season six of 11 seasons, there are still many ways in which I wish my life was more like “Grey’s Anatomy.”
Who doesn’t want a love story like Derek Shepherd and Meredith Grey?
While the start of their relationship was not ideal, (Spoiler Alert: He was still married when they got together.) they made it work and truly love one another. Their relationship is adorable and to top it all off, they are surgeons which makes them geniuses in my book. They have really made their relationship work and have fought through all of the hardships that they have been faced with, which makes their relationship ideal. Their love story is the kind of thing a girl like me only dreams about.
I want a best friend like Cristina Yang.
Cristina and Meredith honestly have the best friendship on television. They are each other’s “person.” They are always there for one another, but not in a cheesy way. They both know that they have their own jobs to do, but they have each other’s backs no matter what. Cristina is everything you should want in a best friend: loyal, dependable, and smart. And Cristina is a Cardiothoracic surgeon, so if you ever need heart surgery, she will be there to help.
Seattle Grace looks like so much fun to work at.
Besides the drama now and again, if I were to be a surgeon, I would want to work at Seattle Grey. Even though all of the surgeons bicker every once in awhile, and everyone seems to sleep with one another's ex, they save people’s lives in every episode. If I wanted to go to college forever and become a surgeon, (which I really do not, four years is enough for me) I would want to work at a place like this with people that really care about me. When something happens to any one of the characters, for instance when George got into the bus accident, all of the surgeons really banded together and were there for one another.
“Grey’s Anatomy” has really been an influential show for me, if you could not already tell that. It has taught me some valuable life lessons, like to never give up no matter the situation, to always be there for my closest friends, and to always stick by my own opinion. If you are looking for a new series to start on Netflix, I would really recommend "Grey’s Anatomy." It is a pretty big commitment, with 11 seasons on Netflix, each with around 24 episodes for every season, but it is worth it and I wish my life were more like it.
