You and your boyfriend just broke up. And it sucks. Hard. The two of you were together for almost three years. You did everything together, and you thought you were going to get married one day. Then a fight turns into a break that turns into a breakup, and all of a sudden, you're giving back oversized sweaters and packing pictures into boxes to hide away under the bed. All you want is for things to go back to normal. You can't see yourself happy with anyone else, and you're convinced that the hurt in your heart won't ever dissipate.

School is slowly killing you. You have a part-time job and an internship on top of 18 hours of coursework. You're the president of two clubs, and you're a member of two more. Homework is piling up. Lately, you've barely had time to eat and sleep, not to mention work out or spend time with your friends. It's only been two years into your degree, and you have at least four to go before you can get that Master's degree. At this point, you can't see the end to the stress and anxiety.

You gained three pounds when you weighed yourself today at the gym. You're trying to be positive, get in shape and learn to love your body. It's taken you weeks to work up the courage to try lifting with some free weights. You've endured the strange looks from the girls on the ellipticals as well as the snickers from the frat guys who watched you do squats in front of the mirror.
It's been a month since your last soda, and you've started meal prepping to eat healthier throughout the week. You thought you were doing everything right, so why are you gaining weight? You ask yourself what's wrong with you, thinking about just giving up and throwing in the towel. How do people do this?

You're questioning your faith. It's been years since you've felt like you did when you first dedicated your life to Christ. The fire is gone, and you're questioning everything that you've ever been taught. You lost a family member to cancer last year, and you're still angry at God for taking them away from you before you were ready. They tell you that He has a plan...but what kind of God lets good people die? What kind of God would allow you to feel so much pain? So much evil is in the world, and you can't see the point to it all anymore.
It gets better.
Finally, your life is starting to fall into place. You're engaged to the most amazing man, and you're finally seeing why it never worked with anyone else. Two years ago, you earned your Master's. You're now the account manager at the largest agency in the state, and you're in love with what you do. It took a while, but you finally got into shape.
Last year, you ran your first half marathon, and you don't plan on slowing down any time soon. You finally turned back to God. He's blessed you so much, and you are always looking to show the world His glory. At the end of the day, you take a look at your life: the ups, the downs. It's hard to imagine a life better than this.
It gets better.
