11 Signs You Are Now Officially A Hot Mess

I had always thought that by the time I was in college I would be a responsible adult, but as my GPA drops and my closet overflows I find ways to cope with reality. I would personally like to thank the hottest of messes for their inspiration: Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Serena Vanderwoodsen and, of course, myself.

Look out, struggle bus coming through.

1. You are ALWAYS late.

Time perception is just not your thing. Your friends automatically assume that you will always be 15 minutes late.

2. Dry shampoo is your best friend.

Your eyeliner is 10/10, your outfit is 10/10 but you have not washed your hair in three days...

3. You are THE procrastination queen.

*Starts 12 page paper the day before it's due* *gets A*

4. You can not prioritize your money.

Having to explain to your parents that you need more money for books because you spent it all on sushi and iced coffee.

5. You can not prioritize your time.

Time is precious, so is your bed. "I swear I am going to get my life together today" *watches eight hours of Netflix*

6. You are either killing it or borderline failing, there is NO in between.

More like "100- 0" REALLL quick.

7. You are a wannabe perfectionist.

You aspire to be Blair Waldorf but you are and will ALWAYS be Serena (pre-boarding school).

8. Your phone is always dead.

You are constantly being asked if you own a charger and the answer is not always yes....

9. People start using your name as an adjective.

"Just Lauren things," and "Such a Lauren thing to do."

10. You start referring to yourself as a hot mess before people start saying it behind your back.

It's called being proactive, duhhh, look it up.

11. You embrace the term and try to make it work

"I might be a mess, but at least I'm hot right? Jealous?"- p3ac3 0uT 2 a11 my hat3rZ

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
