Lies We Tell Ourselves Every Sunday

Sunday Funday or laziest day in the world?

Lies We Tell Ourselves Every Sunday

Ah, Sunday. We all love Sundays. They mean sleeping in, eating brunch, and laying in front of the TV all day long. The thing is, Sunday is a dirty, rotten liar. It lulls us into a false sense of security that leaves us blissfully ignorant of anything besides being comfy and being lazy. We always tend to forget one important thing about Sundays; the horror that is Monday awaits us. As a result, Sunday is typically spent in a weird limbo between wanting to be productive and failing miserably. The following are some of the things we all say we're going to do, end up not accomplishing. Whoops.

Lie: I'm going to get up early in order to be super productive!

Yeah, I'll totally get up at like 8 a.m. to be one of those people that gets crap done.

Reality: Getting out of bed before 10:00 a.m. is a no-go.

Lol, no I'm not.

Lie: I'm definitely going to make myself breakfast, instead of going to get brunch.

I'll save some money and be ~domestic~.

Reality: Making my own food sucks, I'm gonna just go to brunch.

Brunch over everythang.

Lie: I'm going to get off of my couch and do something with my life, like workout.

Maybe I'll turn into one of those people who actually upholds their New Year's resolution a month later!

Reality: Who am I kidding, I'm not going to the gym.

That's far too much effort than I want to put into anything in my life, especially on Sunday.

Lie: I'm definitely going to get my homework done.

And I'm for sure gonna start it at like, noon.

Reality: Definitely going to watch Netflix all day.

Finally made a lame attempt to start it at 9, gave up by 9:30.

Lie: I'm definitely prepared for Monday morning.

I'm gonna have a great week and be super prepared for everything!

Reality: No one is ever prepared for the horror that is Monday morning.

Getting into bed and ugly crying, because I'm so unprepared for life.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.
